Question Coolant leak 2002 dakota 8 cyl

i have a coolant leak so i got a pressure tester to find out where it is. problem is its not holding any pressure at all. the pressure tester is new (out the box). from what i can tell i have it on correctly.

i can't find anything on how to use the pressure tester, but it does have a quick release valve. i tried using it in both positions but it does seem to build any pressure.

i also made sure the reservoirs are full and the engine is full of water too.

what am i doing wrong?

i just found water in the oil cap too, but the head may have blown when i over heated, it was really low on water, i just brought this lemon. it had been laying up awhile, my guess is there's a small leak that lead to overheating, that blew the gasket. so i need to fixus them bothus

it could be leaking right into the engine. pop out your drain plug for the oil and try again and also pull your plugs and look in the cylinders. with the pressure tester it's usually put in place of the radiator cap. make sure the overflow is plugged.. i rented one from advanced that have a decent kit.
