posting lol...so i have 2 front drivers side and passenger side mounts have rusted and completely broken off the frame. The pic is the drivers side.to the left is pretty much under the door and the area above between 10 and 2 o'clock is where my left foot rests while driving. It does not go through the floor though.
Is their anyone with any ideas of a quick and cheap welding idea. The other 4 mounts are perfectly fine. Truck has 165000 miles on it.im just looking to keep it going for another 2yrs till my saving gets me a new one.....or kinda new

 

I had a friend try to fix his, and there was nothing to weld to. It wouldn't even spark. The deeper he went the more material just broke off at the touch.

 

Visit a salvage yard that deal with pickup trucks.Used frames complete around $50.00 up to 1200.00 new.the better fix and safer.Doing a swap is straight forward and pretty simple even for a shadetree mech.Just the equiptment or a shop is the setback.Just a thought!!!
