Default Removing Oil Pan

Is there any way to remove the Oil Pan on a 99 Dodge Dakota 2wd 3.9 Litre Sport without lifting the engine? Something is wrong with the oil system on the truck and we need to get the pan off to at least see what's gone wrong. It runs fine at idle, and then up to maybe 20mph but then above the oil pressure just drops to zero and you have to turn it off. Once you turn it off though you can turn it back on and oil pressure goes right back up to the normal spot. We've tried flushing it, running it through with Transmission fluid, Engine Gunk... Every remedy and it hasn't helped. The reason we can't lift the engine is because we don't have a torch to take the exhaust system off with.
