Sorry if I don't do this correctly, but this is my first thread.
I have a 1998 Dodge Dakota with the 2.5L inline 4 cylinder. I have not done any modifications to the engine. I'm here to ask if it is possible and what would it take to change from the stock air filter and intake to one that is more like an older engine with the air filter on top of the engine (not sure what to call it). Thanks to anybody that can help!
What you want will not get you any hp the stock setup is very ugly but breaths great for the 2.5.
I changed my setup more because I just didn't like it.
You need a Dakota or Durango V8 air box top and flex tube and some 3.25 silicon tubing and a 3.25 coupler. The hard part was modifying the A/C high pressure line I cut off the high pressure A/C sensor and welded it facing down and in a different spot.
