No i did not evacuate the system. This was my first time messing with an a\c system so im learning. Anytime i have swapped engines i left the compressor connected and just moved it out of the way. Now i know for the next time i have to undo something on an a\c system. Thanks for helping me figure out that my old compressor was junk and all the advice.
