Radiator cap blowing off.

I drove my 1997 4x4 v8 5.2L dodge Dakota to town about a 44 mile round trip. Right as I got home I noticed fluid leaking from the front end. The radiator cap blew off. Later that day I drove back to town and after about 24 miles I got into it a little bit, no more than 3,000rpms. Shortly after, the truck backfired and less than half a mile later it died. The truck cranks over and will occasionally pop but it won't start. When I checked the radiator there was oil in the coolant.

Looking like a blown head gasket or worse. Gotta do the basics, but the oil in the water, the blown off radiator cap, and the no fire all lean toward the gasket if not the head. See if you can check the compression and maybe the existence of gasses in the coolant but I fear you have major surgery in the horizon.
Good luck.
