Default Rebuilding Engine - Oil Pump Advice RTV or nothing

Iīm about to finish my Dakota 1999 rebuild and I have a doubt about use or not RTV to mount the oil pump on block. That came with nothing, but I see some new oil pump with paper gasket on kit. My is not new, working normally and I need to know the best way to never lost pressure on that. The engine will start from the rebuild, so will have no oil at all, then I need to be sure that will have pressure on first start! Do I use a small slim amount of RTV or nothing is better?

Don't know about the RTV or not. If you do end up using it, make sure it's the oil resistant kind. I would pull a fuse... injector, or fuel pump, or disconnect wires, then crank for ten seconds a few times. That would prime the pump and distribute the oil without ignition.

I can disconnect my Fuel Pump easy because thatīs below the Driver side, but, are you sure that 10 seconds canīt give me a PCM problem or another issue because of that ? Sorry, I just new with engines. So that will give me oil spread everywhere right? that is the goal?

Thank you for help, so, can I just disconnect my Ignition Coil and my Fuel Pump? That will make sure she donīt start? and also will crank without PCM Codes right? Iīm so afraid of that PCM codes just donīt go away after. Anyway, thatīs a safe procedure will not give me a new issue?

TBH, I've never tried it with my truck, cause I never had a need to. I doubt it would cause an issue as you're not even starting the truck. Ten seconds is pretty quick. Thats how I did on other vehicles to prime the engine with oil.
