Hello all,
So I was installing new shocks on my 04 Dakota 4x4, 4.7, and put a suspension lift in. When I went to put the blocks under the leaf spring there was a bolt that was welded to the axle. The block is only 2" and rested on the bolt about 1/2" above where it needed to rest. Has anyone else had this issue? Also, if I cut part of the bolt off how much would it impact my vehicle?
Thanks in advance,
N

that's the centering dowel which keeps the axle from walking under the spring. Your lift block should have a receiver opening for the axle's dowel and new dowel on it to go into the spring
