Exclamation 01 dakota idling rough, bogs down

i have a 01 dakota slt 4.7l engine, quad cab 4x4, when i drive alittle bit and goto idle at a stop light my truck runs really rough.

i try to take off from the stop light and its like its struggling to get power, my rpms go up but can barely get to 15-20mph. I can floor it and then it breaks loose and goes for alittle bit till i come to an idle again.

im pretty sure its not the transmission, i have just replaced the Throttle Positioning Sensor.

Took it to the shop yesterday and of course it didnt act up for them to diagnose it. any ideas on what this could be?

I have an 02, 3.9L and have identical problems. Even took it to a shop and it didn't act up like it always does. Still in the process of fixing it, however I replaced sensors including TPS, MAP, and Ambient Air and saw improvement. Not a complete fix though, its my belief that the problem is fuel related. I'm going to replace any and all relevant sensors such as Idle Air sensor as well as fuel injectors. Also cleaning and grounding to the throttle body isn't a bad idea. The fuel filter can get clogged as well.

I have an 01 3.9 v6 SLT quad cab, and I had the same problem. I cleaned the throttle body. It was all gunked up and I replaced the PCV valve which was almost closed off. It still coughs a little hear and there but not nearly as bad as it was. I also had two vacuum leaks and a spark plug wire was bad on the distributor shooting spark out. found that at night, it looked like a lightening storm under my hood. right now I am getting codes 0135. 0138. & 305. Im sure as time goes on and if I don't find it 300, 301, & 303 will also show up. I'm not a mechanic at all but it looks as if I will become one. I love this little truck. 247,000 and its my daily driver. I'm looking for maybe a short on bank one in the harness. sometimes its a crank no start. seems to be fuel pressure related. so I might have to replace the fuel pressure regulator in the pump. I might have a short thier in the wiring but I bet its under the battery like they showed on Youtube. In the meantime, priming the line before cranking it seams to help. If I don't flood it.
