Default Coolant system

I have an 03 Dodge Dakota with the 4.7 L V-8 I have replaced the thermostat the water pump and the radiator and it still running hot any input on what would cause this would be great

when you changed everything did you do a back flush? you may have a blockage in your heater core

Have you flushed the cooling system or did you just top off fluid after replacing the parts? They make a flushing kit that lets you hook the garden hose up to flush the whole system. It's less than $5.

And the other possible issue could be air in the system. Especially on these 4.7 motors. There is a bleed valve on the upper radiator hose. Did you let the engine run with the bleed valve open until it got warm (thermostat opened) and let it go until the bubbles stopped? It helps to get the front of the vehicle higher than the rear while doing this.

Short of that... Is the fan working? There are 2 fans on the 4.7, and it should keep cool under normal conditions with just 1 of the 2 working. But they are easy enough to test. You can hear the electric fan kicking on and you'd know if it was running or not. And the mechanical fan should be free when the engine is cool, but after the engine warms up it will engage. You can see if it turns easily by hand when the motor is hot. If it spins freely then you have an issue.

A blocked heater core would likely not cause any overheating issues. The heater core has it's own supply and return lines and even with the heater core being 100% clogged it should not stop the engine from cooling.
