Hi
I'm going on my 3rd resistor burn out on the blower motor to my 02 dakota.
It's the same burn spot mark on resistor connection inside every time an wire goes to blower motor.
Will replacing blower motor along with resistor usually fix it or do I need to look at other things such as switch or wiring before blower, etc?
I know this is a common problem with these trucks.
Thanks

Hard wire the joint where the plug is. Connectors are often loose (even brand new) and overheat.

Ok.
So you mean due away with wiring harness at resistor an use the independent wires ,now wired with the direct connecting ends [similar to whats inside wiring harness]?

Also how do I test for correct voltage on each wire ?
Especiallily the 2nd one that keeps showing a burn mark on the resistor connection?

Rewired new resistor an blower.Working 4 now

Diagram i saw shows that burnt circuit ,the one that runs from 1st power source or low speed control off switch to resistor .

If it reburns that 2nd feed ,low speed control lead on resistor , what would I need to test next?
An what should reading be?

Yes just cut off the plugs and solder/shrinkwrap them.
