I've got a 2000 dak with the 4.7L and a 5 speed manual trans. I've done some research and see that the 5.7 bolts up to the automatic transmission for the 4.7 but not to much on the manuals. I'm curious as to if the manual trans will hold up to the power equally as well or will I need to swap it out. If I'm in need of a swap my worst thought is for the getrag 238, which I've seen used in the 1500's with the 4.7. after trans I'm not sure what all will need to be done whith wiring harness's and what not. Looking or any tips or related info to help make this swap a bit easier as it will be my first swap and I want to do it right and learn as much as possible. Thanks in advance for any help/info.
