I got lucky, a mechanic broke down near me and asked to use my cell. After he did, I explained what my truck was doing so he had me start it and pop the hood. He discovered that there is either a short in the wiring or in the fuel injector connectors. So I'm going to get wiring harness today from a salvage yard and see how that goes.
