Default Reliability

How reliable is the 4.7 that came in the 2004 year Dakota? Looking at a low mileage Dakota and didn't know about the long term use. I keep my vehicles until 200,000 miles or so. Thanks.

Very reliable if you do simple maintenance. I'm approaching 300K, original motor & timing chains, original tranny too. There was a guy on another forum with a Durango that had over 460K on it, when he was last seen. I drive mine daily.
