I am looking at a 98 4x4 5 speed with the 3.9 and I am trying to find out what transmission it is, I have read that it is an nv3500 but I have also read that the nv3500 only came in the v8 Dakota, what 5 speed is in the v6? I am very familiar with the AX15 if that is what it is.

I did that all it says is 5 speed. I have done some searching and I am pretty sure it is an ax15.

 

I thought the AX15 was only behind the 2.5, and the 3.9 and 5.2 had the 3500.
