Default Help with lift kit 1999 Dakota

Hi all
Im trying to get a 1.5-2.5 inch lift on my 1999 Dakota 4x4 (SLT trim). I'm looking at the options, thinking shackles are the best option in the rear. In the front, I'm not sure if using lift torsion keys or just cranking up my existing torsion bars is a better option. Any testimonies from someone who has done a smaller lift?

Will I need longer brake hoses? From what I've read, the answer seems to be no, but still not sure.
How hard is it to change torsion keys? Terrible? Worth it?
What are some good shock options?
What are the biggest tires I could fit with about a 2" lift? Right now I'm running 31s on 15 in wheels as trail tires, and I daily drive the truck on some 16in wheels with beater street tires.
I would want to do this right and have a little bit of money to spend, I daily drive the truck at the moment on the highway, stop-and-go traffic, ect, so I wouldn't want anything too sketchy.
Any info would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

I cranked the stock bars up 2" in the front and added 1.5" blocks in the rear. It workes fine with the stock shocks and brake lines.
