I have a 99 dakota slt 2wd I'm planning to swap the 3.9 for a 5.2 with the matching transmission also 2wd out of a 2000 ram can somebody send me some links on what I would need to bolt in the 5.2 and trans also would I have to swap the driveshaft and rearend any info will help

 

For the 3.9/5.2 swap, just add 2 injector wires, get a 5.2 or 5.9 auto PCM (a 5.9 will work fine, O2's will correct the mixture but will be a hair fat open loop) and a set of 5.2/5.9 motor mounts (or order a set from Richard at HiPoTek). The 42RE driveshaft might be a hair long for the 44RE, i'm not sure. Trans mount should be the same

 

Couldn't I just use the the factory motor mounts off the 3.9l they look the same the only mount that looks different is the transmission mount

 

you can try, i'm pretty sure they are different though. I might be wrong.
