Any one have any ideas what could be wrong with my 2001 Dakota v-6 quad cab with only 35m miles? It makes one heck of a noise when I put it into 4 wheel drive and the entire time it is in 4 wheel drive it makes the noise. The noise is louder when the truck is straining or I apply the gas....help

I have rarely used the 4 wheel drive and I had the truck since new!!!

 

i would try changing the transfer case fluid
