I have an 04 Dakota 4x4, 3.7L auto, I started my truck and when I went to put the truck into drive and shifter only went down to reverse and won't come out. I pulled off the shift cable thinking it was bad, but it is fine, so I reached my hand up to try to shift it by hand and it won't move. So a friend recommended I try rocking the truck to see if it would help it shift out of reverse but the truck rolled freely. Any one have any ideas?

 

Checked ATF level?
