Default Electronics Gone Haywire, Need Suggestions please

So I use this truck to make runs for uber eats and postmates in downtown Louisville a lot, and after the weather we’ve been having the roads have gone to hell and it’s been subject to dozens of massive potholes that rattle the truck hard, one so hard it tore the battery wires from the terminal. Well because of all those I retired it for a week to do some front end work on it and I went to test drive it after I was done and I was very shocked to see that when I started it my abs light, brake light, air bags light on on the dash, my radio was not working nor my wipers, blinkers ac and the cherry on top was that coming from what seemed to be between the motor and tranny was a sound similar to a jet engine preparing to take off, and when I shifted into gear the transmission made a sound similar to what it sounds like when you shift in a manual without using the clutch. All this being said, the motor ran fine, and once in drive the transmission shifted smoothly. I turned the truck off and on several times and eventually my radio came back on and all was back to normal. This lasted 3 days when It did it again, used the same protocol and it went away after 3 try’s or so. It never happens going down the road, just on start up, so once it’s gone it doesn’t come back till the truck is off. The only code thrown is a P1687 which I don’t think has anything to do with it. It’s a 2003 regular cab short bed sxt 2wd with a 3.9l v6, low miles. Any one have ANY ideas on what this could be and what I could do to fix it? Thanks ahead of time guys, I’m at a loss on this one lol.

Does the gauge cluster work during all this?

At any point during repairs, did you disrupt the electrical connector going from engine bay to body, it's in the driver front fender well.

Did you service any of the ground wires going to the body? Should be one behind each headlight and a dedicated for the battery.

Assume if blinkers didn't work, neither did head/tail lights?

Yeah my gauge cluster worked perfectly fine, and I haven’t touched a single wire since it started happening other than clearing my battery terminals because I didn’t know where to start looking. I didn’t touch any wires when I repaired my front end neither. I think it was just a coincidence it occurred right after I repaired my front end. And my head lights/taillights did work during this, just not my brake lights. I’m starting to think there’s a short somewhere because the code it threw wouldn’t cause this, I think that’s just another symptom of a short somewhere that’s making everything go haywire. I just don’t know where to begin to look.

well...on the surface, I'm stumped.

I'll have to think more on this...that's alot of things going on.

ABS and brake light are one system. Air bag is another system. Wipers and blinkers are in the CTM. Radio is it's own system. Transmission on a 3.9 is part of engine management (transmission on a 3.7 is it's own thing).
