It has been a looong time since I have purchased anything along the lines of a Chilton's manual (at least 10 years for my Spirit and then the late 80's for anything before that). Now my Dakota and Caravan are getting old enough to warrant work more than just routine maintenance.

What is a good recommendation now? I thought maybe there is something good online or on CD with more detail. I don't want to invest much more - if anything - than what the books cost and would still like to have something in hand while working on the truck (i.e. able to take a beating and get dirty).

 

The Hayne's manual has actual pictures as opposed to the "cartoon" pictures of a Chilton...
