Default UCA Ball Joint Spacers and ball joint flip.

Hi fellas, just wanted to see if anyone else has tried installing a ball joint spacer and doing a ball joint flip on the UCAs. I currently own a 2001 Dakota Single cab 4x4 that I installed some 3/4 inch spacers that I had machined and relocated the ball joints below the arm. It gave me enough clearance to get some needed downward travel and took some of the bind off of the ball joints. My complete set up for now is a PA 3 inch body lift with 2 inches from the torsion bars and 3 inch blocks out back. Installed longer shocks in the rear. Stock length up front. Also installed a 2 inch differential drop kit to help with the cv angles up front. I'm running 315/75/16s on stock 16x8 rims and 1 1/2 inch wheel spacers. I know many have said that 34 or 35 inch tires are too much for the front diff but after 6 months of daily driving and mild to moderate off roading on desert and mountain trails no issues so far. I did trim the front bumper a little and moved it forward about an inch to help with clearance when turning and articulating the front suspension at the same time. Also trimmed a little at the rear of the fender flare and heated and remolded the rear of the inner fender skirt. Overall its worked for me. Would like to hear from anyone with any comments or thoughts.

Thanks Magnethead. Got the idea from a friend that drives a Toyota Taco. Thought I'd give it a try and so far so good. Only time will tell.

The engineer in me says that you shouldn't have any issues at all. The control arm is still loaded similar to stock.
