Hello, as most of us have to deal with the dreaded issue of a failing CTM on our dakotas. 2000-2004 more specificaly I will be discussing. I feel as if I may have a solution for the issue, I would like to get everyone's input to see if it may be possible.
I was thinking about, in lack of better words, cutting out the CTM and running all wires to an auxilary fuse box. When my headlights went out I needed to get home in the dark so i just spliced a 12v power onto the headlight wires and it worked fine. That is what put this idea into my head. I know it will take some time to do the wiring but I would be willing to do it if it is possible.
