tires
alright well yet another question for you ppl about a 98 dakota i've just about got my truck the way i want it. I've got my windows tinted i got the jumpseat on the way i've got glasspacks with dual exahaust and well now i'm just thinkin and i'm not sure but ok the truck has the offroad package and its got 31x10.50's under it does anyone know if its worth it to go to a bigger tire or would it just be a waste of time and money if i do go bigger it would probably only be to a 33x12.50 is it worth it and what modifications would i have to make i heard it was just adjusting the tortion bars and maby cutting a little plastic is this true? oh and by the way its got the 5.2 318 in it and its already a gas hog but how much worse would it be? cuz it gets 16 on a good day but the way i drive it drops to about 14 ROMP AND ROAR lol
I can't imagine getting 33's under mine up front. Perhaps with some cutting and a lift, but I don't think it'd be worth it. Get a good set of 31's and you'll be almost as good off.
I just a 3†body with 285 same as 33†in 16†rims
I did not adjust the torsion bars but I did cut part of the front bumper nothing bad you can not tell at all.
A little rubbing every now and then on tight turns nothing bad.
It’s worth it the lift only took 3.5 hours with 3 guys and rides just the same and sits almost the height of full size trucks f150, 1500 series.
I would like to go higher but have not found many suspension kits for a 2003.
