hose check engine ?

hose check engine ?
I have a check engine light on, truck is running fine. Found a hose attached on the inside passenger wheel well hanging and can't seem to find where the bottom end goes.
I will take it to autozone for a code, but sure it will only be something generic like "vacuum leak". If someone has an idea what/where it goes, much appreciated...

Did you ever figure this out? I have a similar situation on a 98 van. Big old hose just dangling about in the engine compartment. If your engine does have a purge valve and not a purge solenoid, it may indeed go to the distributor, but I understand that was only on older models, the newer ones use a purge solenoid instead of a valve and it's all electric, requiring no vacuum hookup.
