Rough Ride
I own a 98 dakota with a 3.9 with r/t rims, low profile tires, and around a 2 inch drop front and rear. The truck was already lowered when i bought it. Im not exacly sure how the front was lowered but the rear has had the axle flipped. I really like the way it sits but it has a horrible ride. It's so bad going down some back roads that its useless to even atempt to change the station on the stereo from the passenger seat while the truck is going. I was just wondering what the best method is of softening the ride just a bit. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

well, the low profile tires right off of the bat usually give a harder ride because there just isn't the cusion like on a regular/bigger tire. if you want to keep that stance, try installing air shocks----they are fairly cheap and you can always re-adjust the ride height. if you really want to get serious, you could install an airbag setup. i hope sure hope this helps and good luck!!!
Also how was it lowered? If they just cut the front springs, well its gonna bounce.
TRheres a few ways to fix it. One is put the suspension back to stock height. Secondly is get shocks that are fast acting (ie performance shocks like Edelbrock, Koni, Beilstein, Eirbach (sp?)) that are designed for sport trucks with lowered suspensions. But when you lower a vehicle, a rough ride is pne of the prices you pay.
