Red face Turd!!

Hello everyone, I have a 00 Dakota 4.7 that I've gone thru.New heads, HO cams, coils, 70mm TB, #24 injectors, solid lifters, and Cloyes timing. It ran then blew a head gasket not a big deal to fix. 50lbs. fuel pressure, 190+lbs comp. 10 over stock. Now it wants to start, but won't!! The only code is the standard PO118, all mechanical gauges, I know I'll get that code.
I'm lost? I've rebuilt lots of engines but never had one turn into a "Turd"
Any Ideas??

Are you getting spark?

Are you getting fuel?

Is the fuel injector sync position set correctly?

Does it have the correct tone rings on crank and cam?

Yes it has 50 lbs fuel pressure, 16 tooth rings, I never did anything to the injector timing. It ran great until it blew the head gasket (even while it was blown) Like I said it wants to start but won't. Some of the header tubes are hot after turning it over a couple of times, just no go?? I have an older Flashpaq I'm using for codes, but the only 1 is PO118, I'm pretty sure that's because I have mechanical gauges. I've cleared the memory several times? Without anyway of plugging it in I won't be able to check the injector timing?
I'm most likely going to have to send it over to the local shop?

Are you sure the cams are degreed in correctly? The 4.7 is a pain in that regard.

Cool

Sorry I didn't get back to ya. I was under the assumption that they were? I just changed the stock ones out with the HO's, new solid lifters and Cloyes timing? I have 2 set's of the HO's so I'm going to send a set in to get recon'ed and have the other set ground to either a 206 or 212? I wish I could get a custom grind with the higher lift and lower duration to keep the stall down. I have a Howards 530/276 in my jeep works great! (SBC stroker though). I think I'll just put the newer stock set back in next week and call it good for awhile?

Run a compression test to see. If it's not running but you're seeing exhaust manifold temps in the 200+ range, that tells me the fuel is igniting on it's way out the exhaust valve, which means a/the cam(s) may be 180 out.
