Default Center console ideas

I don't much care for the center console on the extended cab trucks. Kinda thinking I might go with a 2014 or newer Durango console, but I'll need access to one for measurements before going with that one.

Has anyone swapped theirs for a different one and if so, what did you use and how did you like it?

Do you have the bench seat flipping console or permanent console in the middle?

I currently have the buckets and permanent console, but what it has now really means nothing. I'm in the process of tearing the truck down and rebuilding it the way I want it and the seats are probably going in my Colorado if I can make them fit correctly. The seats they put in the first gen Colorados are HORRIBLE. Just curious as to what others have done. I've even thought about trying my hand at fiberglass and building one but if I can find an OEM from something else that looks good and looks right I have no problem doing it. Example, my last truck was a 2000 Silverado reg cab. I pulled the center seat out and put a 2010ish Ford crewcab center console in. It looked like it belonged and fit perfectly as long as you didn't look at the hole at the base caused by the Ford's transmission tunnel being shaped differently. The Ford's tunnel is narrower than the Chevy's tunnel.
