Hi an hello..first thing i am just a backyard mechanic who is just a cheap bastard..lol. Ok i have installed a 5.9l in my 03 Dakota..i am working on a draw that is killing my battery.but thats somthing different i took it for a road test an it doesnt want to get out of second gear.whats the chance that it could just be the governor in the tranny.an whatelse would u get if u had the pan open.this truck has been sleeping long enough. Time to wake her *** up..lol

A kit with all the sensors is a start ,especially that darn spring that breaks a lot.

ok where is a good place to order one..i had went to a junkyard an gotten two sets of the sensors. Where does that skinny spring goes..the one i have is a fat one thats on this plastic cone type thing...u know what when i was taking the valve body off this one truck i saw that skinny one fell but the motor was a 5.2l .i was going to get this transmission that look new.it was just rebuild.but ill tell u that sun was kicking my butt.im in sa.tx. well let me take the pan off again.an see..ty

You can find rebuild kits online an some have gaskets.
there is a pic of the spring an mine broken .
This can impact shifting.
The accumulator spring is pretty thick .




Pretty easy to replace just take cover plate bolts off over spring see pic.
Is good to adjust the bands while your in there .

ok ty.but i took off my valve body an i was looking at this.what is this call an can i order one.its broken on both of them


i hope i took thr pic right..they are broken.where can i get one ofthose platic
