My Part Time 4wd light does not come on like it used to when I move my NP231 shifter into 4HI and 4LOW
I notice there is a mechanical switch on the 4WD shift linkage. I was going to test it for voltage when engaged. Is there a better place to start?

Yes, I know i can always just look down at my shifter to verify 4WD... But I would like the idiot light to function because of frequent on and off road conditions I use the vehicle in.

The switch goes bad sometimes, pull the plug off, jump the connector and see if the light comes on.
