Default Brake light issue

Drivers side brake light no longer works. Bulb is fine and signals work. I'm a mechanical guy, not an electrical guy and I'm not to proud to ask for help... HELP.

Underneath the bed, centered up behind the license tag spot on the bumper, is a large power connector, think it's a 4 way job. You can't miss it. If the passenger brake light works, then I'm going to point you at the wire from that plug to the driver side tail light as having an open. Easiest fix would probably be a visit to the local salvage yard for a replacement harness. No idea if they're available new, you'd have to check around, but no splicing will be necessary for it this way. Of course, you can also check and see if the wire has an open and try splicing a new one in on either side of the open.
