its in your owners manual... and/or if you kept the sale sticker that was on your window at the dealership it is also written on that... but probably yours is a 3 55 gear ratio, most dakota are....
-jack up one rear tire, tranny in neutral
-mark tire and drive shaft with chalk or something
-now rotate tire 1 revolution while counting driveshaft turns
-3 1/2 turns on drive shaft = 3.55 gears
Or look for the tag/sticker. I've got a green sticker wrapped around my front passenger side axle stub housing that says '3.92 open'. There should also be a metal tag under one of the bolts on the rear diff cover, iirc.
