Vibration Turning Left
Hey y’all,
03 Dakota 4.7L. RWD.
Sounds like rubbing/grinding when only turning left at a speed above 15mph. Gets louder and faster with increase speed/angle of turn. I believe it’s the wheel bearing according to forums, but wanted to see what y’all think. Also, have seen things saying if the sound comes from the left hand side then replace the right hand side. Don’t know if that’s true or not. Please any info helps! Thanks y’all.

Wheel bearings are more of a low or high level hum. Some can sound like an airplane when you're at speed. You can jack up the front with, grab the wheel and rock to see if there is play. You can also spin it, but usually that doesn't yield much. You don't replace just one side. If one is bad, the other isn't far behind and it may cause drivability issues. 2WD is a super easy DIY.
