Default Flex plate

My truck has broken the flex plate 3 times we put a new transmission in the second time but broke 5 months later has anyone had this happen either?

I would probably question if your being too hard on the transmission honestly. Are you towing too much? Drag racing it with a tuned engine? Spinning the tires to 60 and then hitting pavement? I don't see to many people posting about broken flex plates. Usually the cover but thats a different issue. Are you using aftermarket parts or OEM? Are you installing them yourself or having a shop do it? Maybe an alignment issue with the transmission or incorrect/damaged parts?

It's just a daily driver I don't tow I don't race I don't off-road and it's an O'Reilly's flex plate that we install ourselves

Might try a junkyard one and see if that lasts better. Other than that you might want to ask a local transmission shop to see if they have any idea's or can take a look to see if anything is out of place.

Where is it breaking? Are you torquing the crankshaft and convertor bolts properly? Is the transmission properly aligned on the dowel pins? Is the converter nose showing any signs of wear against the crankshaft flange? How much convertor clearance are you running?
