Evap Codes and the fix
Tossing this out there for the next guy...
Since owning my truck it has had a small evap leak code which turned into a large evap leak code about 3 months back. At the same time it developed a leak on the fuel pump seal at the top of the tank. At fillup, fuel would come out the seal and down the side of the tank. Earlier this week I swapped the fuel pump as I thought it was going bad (huge miss on rare occasions). Now no more leak and no more codes after 200+ miles on it. Previous to the pump swap, the evap codes would show after 2~3 cold starts and 100 or so miles.
I suspect the pump was original.
