Default Multi Issues

Good afternoon everyone. I have a couple of issues that I need some help with if possible. I got a new to me 01 Dak with 62k miles. It’s been sitting so I’m trying to work out a few bugs.

1. Cruise works great unless I go up any kind of hill. Then it will shut off. Flat land it’s fine.

2. Is the seat base foam for a Dak the same as a Ram of the same year?

3. Where can I buy a new clock spring?

4. ABS and Brake light is on intermittent. Speedo isn’t bouncing like the speed sensor is off from what I’ve read in here. Anything else to look at?

Thanks

#1, I'd look for a vacuum leak. either a hose off or rotten and leaking

#2, No. There are enough Dakotas in the bone yards you should be able to source a better one.

#3. Autozone, Rock Auto, O'Reilly's, Ebay It's a normal repair item. Make sure you pull the fuses for the air bags and I like to pull the battery connection while I'm at it. I'm always nervous handling explosive charges.

#4, if you have RWAL, there is a sensor on your rear differential. If the wire gets loose, it will trip the light. If you have 4 wheel ABS, it may be one of several sensors.

Thanks. I changed the TPS just in case to see if that fixes the cruise.
I’m still looking for the clock spring. I’ll try rock auto. I haven’t had luck at Oriellys or AZ.

I'd check the vacuum line to the speed actuator in case its leaking.
