Default 2004 dakota 2wd lift question

heard some people say after a certain manufacture date the 2004 dakotas came with the 2005 suspension? is this true because im having trouble finding lifts for the 2wd dakota, also mine has the "heavy duty suspension" option apparently, wondering if that may change anything. any help or know where i could get one? hoping for a 3 inch lift atleast but i might can go lower if its all i can find. the manufacture date on the truck is march 9 of 2004

The difference is 5 lug versus 6 lug. The control arms and spindles are also different. Yours would definitely be Model Year 04.
