Is this the wiper motor or switch?
Ok; this morning the wipers were frozen to the windshield on my truck ( 02 quad slt)
I have delay wipers; turned them on - no movement. Turned them off then jumped out to free them quickly. But could not. It took roughly 30 seconds to a minute to get them loose. (Truck was runnning.)
Once they were free from the windshield; I went inside the house. They did not move even though I pulled them off the glass. Since the switch was off by then; I left the truck running and thought nothing of it.
Later when the truck was warm; I jumped in to go to work; turned on the wipers to remove the rest of the snow; but they did not move under any setting from delay to high.
I did notice they would twitch when I turned off the key; but would not sweep across the glass.
I drove to work and tried them one last time before getting out.
They swept only once extremely slowly and then twitched once when I turned the key off.
They would not sweep any more after that.
I don't know the truck electrical well enough to know off-hand if this is a bad motor or something else.
With more bad weather coming I would greatly appreciate anyones insight.
thanks; br
