My buddies door lock solenoid on his driver door went out, now the dealership won't sell him the $40 part and is saying that they would have to put it in![:@]

It's a 2000 dakota sport with a 4.7 (I think) He says that they have the pass. one replaced and it was like $200!!! Can a dealership tell you that they won't sell you the part unless they put it in?

 

Simple solution. Go to a different dealer. That one sounds shady. Theres no reason that they shouldnt sell him the part.

 

part number is 4778125 the labor is only .7 hours the part is listed at $33.95 if they want $200 there ripping you off
