Heater fan
Hi, I'm new here and my wife has a 02 Dakota. The problem is the heater fan does not blow at all. Here is the story, It started by not blowing on any setting but high. Then it quit blowing on high, I took the fan motor out and it works when you jumper it with 12 volts. Then I took the fan switch out and checked it with an ohm meter and took it apart and cleaned the contacts and it seems fine.
I bought a new resistor and installed it and still no fan. Checked the fuses they are all good, and is getting power at the fuse block. What could be the problem? Is there another relay between the fuse block and the switch or fan or resistor?
Any help would be greatly appreciated, Philip

OK, Problem solved. It was the 40 amp square fuse under the hood. Someone removed it at the dodge dealership where they tried to charge me $120.00 to fix the blower. They didnt even tell me they removed it, I had it in for transmission repair and they wanted to fix the fan also. I told them I would fix itThanks, Philip
