Default Question

As some of you know i am new to the dodge dakota. I love the truck so far but recently i have noticed like a creaking sound i guess you could call it when i am getting in the truck and out of the truck and then another creaking sound when turning. It is getting quite annoying. I climbed underneath the truck today with grease gun in hand. I only saw two grease points. Where are the others? If anyone has any other ideas on what would make this sound please let me know. Possibly worn out busings?. . .

Sounds like the rubber bushings for the suspension are dry. Try using some kind of liquid grease to pin point the problem.

Good luck.

they have pretty much done away with grease points on trucks and cars. they 4x4's have more on them. could be springs, could be shocks. would have someone get in and out of it while you listen or turn the wheel while you listen. spray lubes of some kind could remedy the problem.

Had a prob like this once. Turned out to be a pebble wedged between coil spring and mount plate for it on front end. Hit it direct with a pressure washer a couple times and haven't heard it since.
