[:@] Anybody else having a problem with there fuel guage? I have a '02 QC 4x4 and the whole sending unit assembly including pump has already been replaced (by a dealership at that) and my fuel guage readings are still intermittent. Sometimes it will read correctly and other times it just barely reads above empty and turns the damn fuel light on. It's very annoying, especially driving at night. I have taken the truck back several times when the guage is not working and they test it and always say they can't find anything wrong. Everything is in specs. Does anybody no what can fix this problem? I live in a very cold place and it sucks not being able to idle and warm the truck up because I can't keep track of fuel level.[&:]

hey
i don't have a answer for you, just a little advice... my dak low fuel light goes on early i find, but does not fluxuate... when it goes on i still have 30litres or 7.5 gallons left in the tank (83L 22gallons tank) or when the tripmeter hits around 300km or 185miles, and i know my truck can do 425km or 255miles on any driving condition... ( in account of keeping score, each time i went to the gas pump, and caculating my mpg's for the first 10 times.. i do an average of 15mpg ) my suggestion to you is, rely on your tripmeter for a while, till you actually find the problem.

It is good suggestion and I usually do watch my trip meter, but since I have moved up here, I now have to idle for longer periods of time daily and my trip guage won't tell me how much fuel I've used at idle to know how much I have left to actually drive with. (i.e. say I idle out about 1/4 tank in a week, but I don't know that because of fuel guage. I know by trip meter I can go @ 315 miles per tank, but if I used 1/4 tank idling without being able to see that I have, I can't figure how far I can go on one tank, which in the long run leaves me out of gas on the side of the road in -60 f degree weather, no joke.
Again good suggestion though. I have learned one thing about mopar and that's, whenever you first get one you need to trip out mileage per tank, because I have yet to buy a mopar that doesn't have or end up with a screwed up fuel guage.

sounds like the sending unit on the pump is acting up. cant believe the techs cant figure that out. if some one came here with that problem and i had just put a pump in it i would change that out. it might still have a mopar warranty on it, i would try another dealer and let them look at it.
