whenever i am sitting at a light or have the enigine in park or drive i will be idling at 900-1000 and the rpm will drop liek its going to stall but it comes right back up it does this like every 3 to five seconds if some one could shed some light on this it would be appreciated

 

Could be throttle position sensor.

 

i brought it back to the used auto dealership i bought it from and they said it was a dirty injector but that didnt solve it, i was standing uotside the truck today and i head waht sounded liek and electical arc and i think its a bad plug wire so im gonan get soem accel 8mm and try that.

 

If a plug wire is shorting out to ground, at idles positions the truck will run like it is missing on a cylinder. Does it sound/feel like a miss or is it just a drop in the RPM's? I had a problem like this with mine, as time went by it started to stall out sometimes when I came to a stop at lights. Turned out to be a failing fuel pump.

 

its a drop in the rpms and the engine feels liekits going to fall on its face and die but if i give it gas while its doing it it affect the the throttle slightly but it powers through it, you can hear the distinct sound that an arc makes my buddies 99 ram had the smae problem it was arcing after he bought a set of make em yourself accels and did a ****ty instal. anyways the deal is taking it back monday and is going to do a better job of diag and they also have to fix the problems on whty it wouldnt pass inspection. (headlamp out of adjusment and the e brake needs to be tightend and the tail light covers need to come off. i guess here in mass the dodge tail light cover are illegal.
