Default PCV valve on 4.7

Does my '01 QC, 4.7 have a PCV valve? If so can someone explain where it is - maybe even post a pic? Thanks.

Default RE: PCV valve on 4.7

It is in the oil-filler housing on the front of the passenger side cylinder head. It has a tube attached to it. Remove the tube. Twist the PCV counterclockwise to unlock it, and then pull it out of the oil filler. I couldn't find a pic of at at the moment. You shouldn't have too much trouble finding it, though. It points toward the passenger side of the truck, and comes out of the oil filler at a slightly upward angle.

I found it, no problem. i just had no clue where to look. They used to say that if you could ratttle the valve it was good. Is this still the rule of thumb? I also started the engine with the hose off of the valve. Obviously there is suction on the hose, but if you plug the hose the truck cuts off. Is this normal?
