fog lights not working
Hello,
This is my first post here. I have a 1999 dakota r/t. When I bought the truck back in November the fog lights worked. About a week ago they will not turn on when I pull the fog light switch out. The small green light does not illuminate when I pull the switch out either. I checked the relay and it turns out that there is no signal going from the switch to the relay. Does this mean that I would have to pull the dash apart to look at the switch? If so, does anyone have any pointers on how to take it out. Also, does anyone know where i can find a wiring diagram for my truck?
Thanks,
Dave

More than likely the wire connection behind your switch is good. It has a lock clip that holds it in place. Have you checked all fuses to or just the relay? It might be a fuse before the switch if your dash light for them doesn't even come on. If the fuses are good, then your swich itself has probably gone bad. Just because headlights and marker lights work, doesn't mean the switch can't be bad. As for schematics check out my site in the links section, I have some to places with schematics where you can probably find what you are looking for. Here's the link Polar Dakota. As for removing the bezel, let me know if you actually have to and I'll let you know what to do. I've had mine off like half a dozen times already.
Yes, it is a 20 amp fuse in the fuse block under the hood. It should be on the side closest to the firewall and counting from the engine towards the fender it should be the 9th fuse, 10th spot including the spare place just before it.
