Well I'm trying to figure out how I can get a rear disk set up for my 97 4x4, without paying $800 to $900 like at SSBC, just did not know if I could get what I need at a salvage yard, for a couple of hundred bucks, I'm hoping that the axel housing is not different at the point of attachment. I did start a thread in the wheels & brakes section just hoping to find someone who had done this. I know 03 / 04’s have the rear disk set up, just did not know how down in the years I could go and still find the rear disk set up on the Dak’s & Durango’s, anyone know when they started putting the disk’s on the rear?

I have a buddy with an 01 4door that has rear disks....When I seen it I was kinda perturbed since my 00 R/T didnt come with the option

 

rear disc brakes were standard for 03/04. I know I don't have them on my 02 QC.

 

Hey I would like some more info on this too. I thought some 2000+ dakotas had the rear disc too?

I would like this swap myself without paying an arm and a leg. I will be looking into the junk yards this week.
