im looking for a supercharger for a 03' dodge dak r/t 5.9........i never can find one for my year... its always 01'.....wut type/kind of s/c should i get......would a s/c thats only for a 01' work for mine.....would the computer be the same???

 

There's no difference between 01-03 R/T's, most companies never bothered updating their year/make/model lists to accomodate newer years.

The Paxton is the most recommended model, followed by the Vortech and ATI, with Kenne Bell (no longer produced) and the Powerdyne following up at the rear.

 

what about procharger? they're good, I've never heard of anything even remotely bad

procharger is the best in my opinion. i know a few people who have prochargers on thier cars and they all have nothing but good things to say.

The ATI kit for the Dakota is generally regarded as "middle of the road" - the head unit doesn't flow as much as the vortech or paxton units, and they chose a comparatively poor location to put the intercooler, many people with the earlier kits had their intercoolers destroyed by large bumps, although newer models may be a bit better.

The Paxton Novi2000 is definitely the most popular and highest regarded model by the Dakota R/T Club owners, something like 7 out of the 10 fastest supercharged R/T's are using the Paxton.
