5.9 questions
I know the 5.9 r/t's come from 01-03 but past that i dunno.
I want to know what options i can expect to find. what can I expect to find and what to watch out for in terms of problems, common issues
can I get a standard cab? what price range should I expect?
my hopes are for a...
black, standard cab, 2wd, 5.9 R/T
anything past those are in the air. I don't even care if it has a/c or not
is there anything else i should look for
I have tons of questions, I want to learn all i can before it's time to get one
(I might save up and drop a 5.9 into mine after i blow and strip the 2.5)
any info or opinions would be appreciated

RE: 5.9 questions
RTs were fully optioned trucks. About the only options were the type of stereo, leather steering wheel and radio controls, and maybe an overhead console package.
They all had the auto, 2wd, LSD and I think 3.92 gears were standard. You could get them in standard or club cab versions, 2wd only. I think the first year was 99.

RE: 5.9 questions
sweet,
how expensive would we be talkin'
in good condition, anywhere 'tween a 5-10 on a scale of 10.
exterior isn't my biggest concern, I worry most about engine, drivetrain and suspension.
I'm lookin to reward myself after I graduate college.
[btw. lakota
my compliments on a beautiful truck}

RE: 5.9 questions
mine is a 98, had 47,000 on it when i bought it, VERY well taken care of, spotless underneath, and bone stock. i paid 10 grand for mine last july, and if u blue book it, its about 10 grand retail. ive seen complete pieces of **** go on ebay got 6 grand, and ive seen fully modded ones going for 22 grand. regular cabs are FAR less plentiful than club cabs, and INO nice R/Ts are very very hard to find. i got EXTREMELY lucky when i found mine. if u look hard enough, u will find a decent one out there, and i would say be ready to pay anywhere from $9000-17000 foe one.
