What kind of trailer?

load leveling hitch, helper springs, trailer brakes, 3/4ton rental truck, CB (to find out what the truckers are talking about), road map, etc.

What kind of options does the truck have? Does it have the factory tow package? (Mirrors, cooling, hitch, ect?) How big is the trailer going to be? Is the truck a Standard, Club Cab, or Quad Cab?

Depending on how much "little money" is, some options include:

chip for computer ($400-450) -- don't know if anyone makes them for the 3.7, but I know Superchips makes them for the 3.9, and claim that it will add over 15 HP and 25 Lb. ft. torque at the rear wheels, which would definitely make your towing experience more enjoyable. You would also be able to adjust your shift points and improve fuel economy

cold air intake ($200-300) -- this would give you a little more HP, better fuel econ., and quicker throttle response

headers and exhaust, as previously mentioned ($ depends on labor costs)

180 degree thermo would prob be beneficial (and smart) if u r towing over mountains

load leveling hitch, as previously mentioned, would also be smart and will keep the ride a little smoother
