several questions
Hey, I am looking for a tonneau cover and am not sure what brand or type to get. I don't want a fiberglass one because i really don't wanna dish out 7 or 8 hundred dollars. Is velcro better than the snaps, or should i stick with a vinyl cover that tilts up? Also part of my bed is bent below the rear window in the middle from the previous owner who used it as a work truck, will i have to fix this in order for a proper fit? I have a 2000 3.9 and am also looking for some headers so far the only ones I can find are JBA(which i think are rediculously priced) and gibson. Does any1 know of other good brands that fit a 2000 with a 3.9? Ok, 1 last question. on my 3.9 i have a dual exhaust and an airaid intake system, how much of a difference in sound would a tb spacer make?
Thanks and next time i will try to keep my questions to a minimum.

in order, snaps are better - clamps are best. you will have to fix the bed for a good fit. all v6 headers for the daks and durangos are rediculously priced. tb spacer wouldn't make a big preformance diff, except in takeoff from a stop. i would only recomend a tb spacer if you go into stop and go traffic often.
I had a Lund tonnue cover on my dakota and it was a p.o.s. I really looked into this matter when i got my Ram and i found a hell of a tonnue cover made by a company called Access. Its the velcro type, rolls up to the back of the cab BUT DOES NOT COME IN CONTACT WITH THE CAB. Very Very happy with this tonnue.......There are lips along the rails that reinforce the velcro even more along the edges (where it usually starts coming off over time), not to mention the velcro is about twice as wide as most other companies. The vinyl is very thick and durable, and has the manual tightening feature where you can tighten it to the point where it is like a snar drum (no blowing around like a flag in the wind). Dont bother with the snap-type they are junk IMO. Downside to Access is it was like $400+ installed, but you get what you pay for when it comes to stuff like that. They are worth a look.
As for that bend, how severe is it ??? is it a dent or just a slight bend

That right there is why i dont prefer snaps....at least its held up for ya, my buddies on his chebby the snaps went right thru the vinyl.
snaps are great! if u need to "fix" the bed, just hit it with a rubber hammer, may sound harsh, but it is a truck bed. as for headers, buy a new motor... i have a 318 for sale
but seriously i wouldnt be worried about modding the motor, put the money to better use.....
just my 2 cents.
